The present study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the combination treatment of the anti-CNS drugs Sildenafil (Viagra) and Tadalafil (Cialis) in the treatment of patients with idiopathic tachycardia, pulmonary hypertension, and chronic myocardial infarction.
Patients with idiopathic tachycardia (tachycardia) who received sildenafil and tadalafil were evaluated for the presence of idiopathic tachycardia, pulmonary hypertension, and chronic myocardial infarction according to the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF). In addition, patients were evaluated for the efficacy of the combination treatment of both drugs and the occurrence of pulmonary hypertension, as well as the occurrence of chronic myocardial infarction.
The diagnosis and management of tachycardia is essential in the management of patients with idiopathic tachycardia (tachycardia) and pulmonary hypertension (PH). A recent systematic review and meta-analysis [] showed that the combination treatment of sildenafil and tadalafil, with the exception of sildenafil in the treatment of patients with idiopathic tachycardia, is more effective than the treatment of patients with tachycardia. However, no studies have examined the efficacy of combination treatment of these drugs in the treatment of patients with idiopathic tachycardia.
In the present study, the efficacy of combination treatment of the anti-CNS drugs Sildenafil and Tadalafil in patients with idiopathic tachycardia, pulmonary hypertension, and chronic myocardial infarction (CPH) was evaluated.
This study was conducted on a outpatient department of a tertiary care hospital in Nigeria. Patients with idiopathic tachycardia (tachycardia) who received sildenafil and tadalafil were evaluated for the presence of idiopathic tachycardia, pulmonary hypertension, and chronic myocardial infarction (CPH). Patients with idiopathic tachycardia who received sildenafil and tadalafil, with the exception of sildenafil in the treatment of patients with idiopathic tachycardia, were also evaluated for the efficacy of combination treatment of the anti-CNS drugs Sildenafil (Viagra) and Tadalafil (Cialis).
Patients were excluded if they were aged >65 years, patients had concomitant cardiovascular disease (CV) and diabetes mellitus, patients were on anti-hypertensives, had any medical history of tachycardia or pulmonary hypertension, and patients had a history of pulmonary hypertension.
The study protocol was reviewed and approved by the ethical committee of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lagos (reference No. 2140-20-7). Written informed consent was obtained from all patients before the start of the study and all study procedures were performed in accordance with the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki.
The present study was a prospective randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study conducted in the department of Medicine at the University of Lagos (reference No. The study was performed in the ward of the Department of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. The study was conducted in accordance with the Helsinki statement and the current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) registration guidelines.
