Randy Gaglione, 45, from Las Palmas, N. Y., was charged in a federal lawsuit Friday with selling drugs intended for weight loss.
His arrest comes after a month of the alleged drug use began at a brothel in Mexico.
The allegations stem from an investigation by U. S. prosecutors that alleged Gaglione had operated the brothel and promoted the drugs for his own gain.
During a conversation with a local sexual-pharmacist, Gaglione told the woman that he was a "pink Viagra salesman" and that he had "used it to treat an injury to women."
His arrest was taken down when officers executed a search warrant at the establishment in the town of Chico, N. Y., after the alleged drug trade was discovered.
Prosecutors alleged that Gaglione, who is also a former drug dealer from N. Y., had obtained a prescription for the pills from a Mexican physician and that he "used them to treat conditions that were not well-known to the public."
The alleged drugs, including those that he sold at Gaglione's brothel, include prescription drugs used to treat obesity, erectile dysfunction, and blood pressure.
Gaglione is accused of having a number of the illegal trade products in which he works, including prescription-only drugs, as well as illegal narcotics, Viagra, and other illegal drugs.
